Stories In Wood began with a simple problem: guitar stands did their job, but they were awkward, unstable and rarely looked at home beside the instruments they carried.
A Stand Worth Looking At
In 2012, Liam became tired of placing his guitars on cheaply made, unstable metal stands that looked completely out of place in the home.
Two Years Of Refinement
Drawing on his background in carpentry, woodworking and product development, Liam spent two years creating, testing and refining countless prototypes.
Made One At A Time
What began as a stand for Liam’s own guitars became a Melbourne workshop creating handcrafted pieces for guitarists around the world.

I started Stories In Wood because I wanted a better place to keep and display my own guitars—something solid, beautifully made and designed to belong in the room.
My background in carpentry and woodworking gave me the skills to build it, but being a guitarist shaped the way every detail was considered. The balance, contact points, materials and proportions all had to work properly before the stand could look right.
That approach still guides everything we make today. Every piece is designed to be useful, durable and worthy of the instruments musicians care about most.
